I grew up, studied, and built my career in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It’s cold here, but it’s a dry cold. I graduated in 2006 with a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology. I built my passion for AAC at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital’s I CAN Centre for Assistive Technology, working with adults with acquired conditions.

I became a mother in 2009, and welcomed my second child in 2012. With a young family, it made sense to take a position in the Edmonton Public Schools, as part of their AAC team. I am incredibly grateful to have had the privilege of being mentored by Gayle Porter to become a certified PODD trainer in 2024.

Away from work, I love following the Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Blue Jays.
